Karnataka: Wish to Become CM if Luck is on My Side, Says Home Minister Parameshwara

Karnataka residence minister G Parameshwara denied that there have been any discussions on this challenge when CM Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar visited his home in Tumakuru

A day after Siddaramaiah asserted that he would proceed as Karnataka chief minister for a full five-year time period, rubbishing talks of a midterm change in management, residence minister G Parameshwara on Friday made no secret of his want to occupy the highest publish if luck is on his aspect. He was reacting to cooperation minister KN Rajanna’s want to see him as chief minister some day.

During an occasion within the district headquarters city of Tumakuru, Rajanna mentioned, “Parameshwara is the home minister today. Anything can happen in future. He has the good fortune. I believe that he has the luck (of becoming chief minister) in the coming days. We will work to ‘supplement’ the luck. There is no doubt about it.”

Stating that having a chief minister from the district would make the individuals there joyful, Rajanna mentioned, “If he (Parameshwara) becomes one then we all get the feeling of becoming chief minister.”

The 72-year-old Parameshwara, the previous Karnataka Congress president, mentioned, “I am grateful to Rajanna. I too desire for that luck to happen.” He, nevertheless, mentioned he doesn’t know when he may very well be elevated. “There are many eligible candidates (who can become CM). Let everyone get a chance,” he mentioned.

He denied that there have been any discussions on this challenge when Siddaramaiah and deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar visited his home in Tumakuru. Speaking to reporters, in the meantime, Karnataka IT-BT minister Priyank Kharge mentioned the difficulty of change of guard is determined by “four people in Delhi”.

“As I have said four people sit together in Delhi (and decide). Barring those four people whoever talks has no value. And the high command should say – If the high command says that I am the chief minister, then I will say ‘Yes’ to it,” Kharge mentioned.

Shivakumar’s brother and Lok Sabha MP DK Suresh mentioned there is no which means in discussing speculative questions when the CM’s publish is not vacant. “Siddaramaiah is the chief minister. The CM post is not vacant. This matter should be discussed when the post is lying vacant. What is the use of such talks (now)?” Suresh mentioned.

He added that the individuals of Karnataka have given 5 years to the Congress to rule the state. Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have the goal of making certain the sleek functioning of presidency.
