Seven folks have been injured on Friday when the automotive they have been travelling met with an accident close to Vadanappily right here, police mentioned. The automotive was coming from Thiruvananthapuram and the passengers have been pilgrims visiting Guruvayoor temple, they added.
The accident occurred at round 3.30 AM. According to the police, it appeared that the motive force had fallen asleep on the wheel.
“The car veered off to the opposite lane and collided with a national permit lorry,” they mentioned. The injured passengers have been shifted to close by hospitals and their situations are mentioned to be secure.
Police mentioned Fire Service officers needed to minimize open the mangled automotive to rescue the motive force.
