A bunch of Khalistani supporters attacked the Indian High Commission in London on Sunday night time taking down the tricolour and changing it with Khalistani flags. Several officers stated that the ‘tried however failed’ attack had been foiled because the Indian flag continues to fly proudly over the constructing. 

Scotland Yard stated it was referred to as to studies of dysfunction on Sunday afternoon and {that a} man has been arrested as its enquiries proceed. “There was no report of any injury, however windows were broken at the High Commission building,” the Metropolitan Police assertion stated.

India summons high UK official over protests

Meanwhile, India summoned the British deputy excessive commissioner and demanded a proof over the entire ‘absence of safety’ when Khalistani sympathisers attacked the High Commission. 

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a press release in which they stated India finds ‘unacceptable’ the indifference of the UK authorities to the safety of Indian diplomatic premises and personnel in the UK.

British Deputy High Commissioner Christina Scott was summoned to the MEA in view of the incident as High Commissioner Alex Ellis was out of Delhi, sources stated.

“The senior-most UK diplomat in New Delhi was summoned late evening today to convey India’s strong protest at the actions taken by separatist and extremist elements against the Indian High Commission in London earlier in the day,” the MEA stated.

“An explanation was demanded for the complete absence of the British security that allowed these elements to enter the high commission premises,” it stated

Images of shattered home windows and males climbing the India House constructing had been circulating on social media and movies from the scene confirmed an Indian official grabbing the flag from a protester by means of the first-floor window of the mission, whereas the protester was seen waving a Khalistani flag hanging off its ledge.

Scotland Yard stated it was ‘conscious’ of an incident in the world however is but to situation an official assertion.
