Some massive names which have been dropped from BJP’s candidate record for the Lok Sabha polls embrace Union Minister Ashwini Choubey dropped from Bihar’s Buxar, Varun Gandhi from Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit and ex-Army chief normal VK Singh from Ghaziabad

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its fifth record of 111 candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. Some massive names which have been dropped from BJP’s candidate record for the Lok Sabha polls embrace Union Minister Ashwini Choubey from Bihar’s Buxar, Varun Gandhi from Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit and ex-Army chief normal VK Singh from Ghaziabad.

List of BJP Leaders Dropped From Candidate List for Lok Sabha Polls-

  • Varun Gandhi has been dropped from the Pilibhit seat. Jitin Prasada will now contest from the constituency.
  • Rajendra Agarwal has been dropped from Meerut and Arun Govil, who’s well-liked for portraying the character of Lord Ram in Ramayan, has been fielded from the constituency.
  • Other leaders who’ve been dropped in Uttar Pradesh embrace Sanghmitra Maurya from Badaun, Rajveer Diler from Hathras, and Santosh Gangwar from Bareli.
  • Satyadev Pachauri has been dropped from Kanpur and Ramesh Awasthi will contest the seat.
  • Union Minister Ashwini Choubey has been dropped from Buxar and Mithilesh Tiwari has been pitted from the seat.
  • Sitting MPs from Chikkaballapur and Belagavi, Bache Gowda and Suresh Angadi, respectively, have additionally been dropped. L Sudhakar has been fielded from Chikkaballapur and Jagadish Shettar from Belagavi.
  • Anant Kumar Hegde has been dropped from Uttar Kannada.

BJP’s fifth record additionally noticed some electoral debuts together with that of actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been fielded from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi and Arun Govil from Meerut.
