Mendhar/Jammu: Six individuals together with 4 girls suffered minor accidents in a conflict between supporters of two candidates exterior a polling station in Mendhar sub-division in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on (*6*), officers stated. However, the voting on the polling station in the Shahpur sector continued with none disruption as police intervened and separated the clashing teams, they stated.
An FIR was registered by police and additional investigation is on, the officers stated. Poonch is a part of the Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency the place polling is underway in the sixth section on (*6*).
“It is hereby clarified that a minor scuffle took place outside the polling station causing very minor injuries to a few persons. “The altercation was stopped in time and an FIR has been lodged in the matter. Polling didn’t get interrupted at any time and went on easily,” the workplace of deputy commissioner, Poonch, stated on X
