Maharashtra: Alert cop saves mentally disturbed woman from being run over by train

A mentally disturbed woman standing in the midst of a railway monitor whereas a neighborhood train was quick approaching was saved by an alert policeman at Vasai Road station right here in Maharashtra, an official mentioned on Sunday. A video of the incident, which came about round 10 am on Saturday, went viral on social media platforms.

The Dahanu-Andheri native train was approaching the Vasai Road railway station when police naik Eknath Naik, who was on patrolling responsibility on platform no. 5, noticed the woman standing in the midst of the tracks. Senior police officers lauded Naik for his brave act.

The policeman later instructed reporters he felt comfortable that he may save the woman’s life, and thanked his colleagues and the RPF personnel for his or her assist.
