Maharashtra: Fire at chemical factory in Ambernath
A hearth broke out at a chemical factory at a village in Ambernath of Maharashtra’s Thane district in the early hours of Saturday and no casualties have been reported in the incident, a civic official mentioned. The blaze erupted round 12.30 am at a chemical unit in Morli village and 5 hearth engines from the neighbouring civic our bodies have been pressed into service to douse the flames, mentioned Santosh Kadam, chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s catastrophe administration cell.
While no casualties have been reported in the incident, a foul scent engulfed the whole locality following the blaze, which was introduced underneath management after over two hours, the official mentioned.
The factory was utterly gutted in the fireplace, the trigger for which is but to be ascertained, he added.
