Maharashtra: Five Injured In Bus Accident On Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway


Pune: At least 5 individuals have been injured after a Bengaluru-bound personal bus from Mumbai met with an accident, knowledgeable officers from Pune`s Fire division. According to officers, the bus met with an accident on the Mumbai-Bengaluru freeway close to Bavdhan in Pune. “The injured people were admitted to a hospital,” stated an official. Pune Fire Brigade officers and police personnel have been on the spot on the time of submitting this report.

Further particulars are awaited. Earlier, on Saturday, a number of passengers have been injured after a bus met with an accident within the Gori Pora space in J&Okay`s Pulwama district.

Speaking to ANI, one of many passengers from Bihar stated, “After Awantipura, the driver increased the speed of the bus and lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident. The driver ran away from the accident spot.”

“Around 50-52 people were inside the bus at the time of the accident. Of them, 3-4 persons are critical, and several more sustained injuries,” he added.

Meanwhile, all of the injured have been admitted to the district hospital in Pampore.

In one other incident on March 5, at the least 5 individuals have been injured after a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus rolled down a hill within the Idukki district, police stated. The incident passed off close to Neriyamangalam within the Idukki district. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Neriyamangalam in Kerala, they stated.
