Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has resigned from his place. Deshmukh submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after the Bombay High Court directed CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry into corruption allegations Deshmukh primarily based on the petition filed by former cop Param Bir Singh’s lawyer Jayshri Patil.

After Anil Deshmukh despatched submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister’s workplace, NCP Leader Nawab Malik mentioned, “Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has met the Chief Minister to tender his resignation. The CM is yet to accept his resignation.”

While listening to a plea by Parambir Singh’s advocate Dr Jaishri Patil’s plea concerning allegations of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, Bombay High Court says Anil Deshmukh is the Home Minister and no neutral probe might be finished by the police.

However, for the reason that allegations are being probed by a high-level committee initiated by the Maharashtra authorities, the court docket mentioned that CBI needn’t instantly register an FIR within the case.
