Maharashtra News: People believed Devu Kumoti’s actions brought about diseases and deaths in village. However, a police investigation discovered that those that died had critical ailments like most cancers.
Maharashtra man, his spouse and their granddaughter had been butchered to demise with hammer and knife by his sons and different villagers. Those concerned in homicide alleged that the person’s observe of black magic led to diseases and deaths within the village.
According to a report in India Today, the couple’s son initially filed a grievance in regards to the incident. However, because the investigation progressed, police found that the couple’s three sons, son-in-law and 5 different individuals allegedly carried out the homicide.

A senior police official was quoted as saying: “The police got a tip from Gundapuri village that the person who died, Devu Kumoti, was thought to be a local priest practising black magic. People believed his actions caused illnesses and deaths. However, a police investigation found that those who died had serious diseases like cancer.”
Due to suspicions that Devu Kumoti was practising black magic, which villagers believed was inflicting deaths, they pressured his sons and son-in-law to ‘eliminate’ the person, the police was additional quoted.
Their ten-year-old granddaughter was current in the course of the assault on Devu Kumoti and his spouse. As she was sleeping, the accused killed her, fearing she may reveal their involvement within the homicide, IT quoted the police as saying, including that every one the 9 accused concerned have been arrested.
