Maharashtra studies 23,179 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours.

The graph of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra continues to witness an upsurge with 23,179 extra individuals testing constructive in the last 24 hours. The state recorded 84 extra deaths because of the an infection taking the full demise toll to 53,080. 

The complete variety of cases stands at 23,70,507, whereas lively cases are 1,52,760, official knowledge confirmed on Wednesday. 

Nagpur was one of many worst affected reporting a single-day spike of three,370 coronavirus cases. At least 16 sufferers died, whereas 1,216 have been discharged from hospitals in the course of the day, officers stated. 

The Centre has already warned that Maharashtra is “in the beginning of a second wave of Covid-19 pandemic”.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the Covid scenario with chief ministers of varied states and expressed issues over the excessive positivity price in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. 

“Stop this emerging second peak of corona immediately,” he urged the chief minister in the course of the digital assembly.

Citing the vaccine waste in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to the tune of 10 per cent, Modi sought instant correction in the drawbacks of planning and governance on the native stage to scale back this.

The Prime Minister additional requested the chief ministers to remain vigilant concerning the vaccine expiry date. “Dawaai bhi aur kadaai bhi,” he insisted.
