Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases and the Maharashtra authorities’s notification on restrictions, weekend lockdown and evening curfew to include it, officers of the famend Saibaba temple in Shirdi determined to maintain it shut from Monday evening till further orders.
As per the Maharashtra authorities notification, non secular locations will stay closed as a result of rise in COVID-19 cases, and, due to this fact, the Saibaba temple will stay closed for devotees from Monday 8 pm till further orders, stated Ravindra Thakre, the officiating chief government officer, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust.
However, the day by day affairs contained in the temple premise will go on asusual, although lodging and ‘prasadalay’ (eating corridor for devotees) will stay closed, he stated.
