Mahua Moitra case CBI to probe corruption charges against TMC MP for risking national security anti corruption panel BJP

New Delhi: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry has been ordered by the Anti-Corruption Department against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra over her alleged corruption whereas risking the national security, BJP MP Dr Nishikant Dubey claimed on Wednesday.  

BJP MP from Jharkhand’s Godda constituency took to X, previously Twitter, knowledgeable that the anti-corruption panel on his grievance has ordered a CBI inquiry against Mahua Moitra.

This comes days after the BJP MP accused Moitra of asking questions within the Lok Sabha to goal the Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the behest of businessman Darshan Hiranandani in change for presents. The matter is being regarded into by the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha.

Moitra has been underneath the scanner within the cash-for-query case for allegedly taking cash and asking questions in Parliament.

The TMC MP, on November 2, had appeared earlier than the Ethics Committee and was questioned over her alleged involvement within the cash-for-query case. However, the TMC chief walked out of the questioning after complaining that she was being requested inappropriate questions. 

Moitra has denied the cost of receiving any pecuniary profit.
