New Delhi: Samsung, a outstanding participant in the Korean electronics business, is ready to start laptop computer manufacturing at its Noida manufacturing unit in India this 12 months, as confirmed by TM Roh, the President and Head of Mobile Experience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. The firm is actively getting ready for this initiative and highlights India’s rising significance as a producing hub for Samsung, which considers India its second-largest manufacturing base.
Roh asserted that “Noida is a very important production base for Samsung. It is the second-largest base for Samsung. There may be some changes at the plant to optimize it as per global demand, but what remains unchanged is the fact that it is an important base for us.”
Notably, Samsung’s Noida plant has began making function telephones, wearables, smartphones, and tablets. Now, the Korean electronics big is gearing as much as manufacture laptops this 12 months. In July 2018, Samsung unveiled the world’s largest cellular manufacturing unit in Noida, aspiring to double its present cell phone manufacturing capability from 68 million items per 12 months to 120 million items per 12 months on the new facility.
The firm talked about that “Our Noida factory, the world’s largest mobile factory, is a symbol of Samsung’s strong commitment to India and a shining example of the success of the Government’s ‘Make in India’ programme. Samsung is a long-term partner of India.
