Mumbai: A person was allegedly thrashed by Shiv sena employees (Shinde faction) for allegedly making an `objectionable` video of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA and a girl chief that went viral on social media, Mumbai Police stated on Sunday. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) employees had been seen thrashing and smearing a person with ink, visuals accessed by ANI reveals. The video has been verified by the police.
The accused, was later handed over to Samta Nagar Police station, in Kandivali, East Mumbai. According to the police, the accused has been recognized as Rajesh Gupta. On the criticism of the girl chief, the Dahisar police registered a case towards an unknown individual beneath IPC sections 354, 509, 500, 34, and 67 and began their investigation. Explaining the incident, Mumbai police stated {that a} rally was organized in Mumbai`s Dahisar space on Saturday night, during which Chief Minister Eknath Shinde additionally participated.
MLA girl and girls leaders welcomed the Chief Minister and joined the rally.”If women continued to be defamed through such videos, then she would be discouraged to join politics,” she added.MLA added that the Uddhav Thackeray camp had completed nothing throughout their rule.
“Now, They want to defame a woman. It is unacceptable.”There needs to be a battle of ideologies in politics. You can disagree with my views. But it’s not acceptable to defame a girl by insulting her. People behind such actions needs to be held accountable,” Shiv Sena MLA stated.
While collaborating within the rally, somebody made a video, edited it by placing obscene songs and made that video viral on the web, after which individuals acquired offended and demanded to register a case, the police added.Â
