Manchester United clarify the hike is necessitated as a result of larger value of staging matches
Manchester United have raised grownup season ticket costs by 5 % for subsequent time period after preserving them frozen for 11 seasons, the Premier League membership introduced on Monday.
The rise is as a result of larger value of staging matches, which has jumped by 40% in the final 5 years and 11% in the final 12 months, United added.
“…the modest enhance in value for the 2023/24 season is important to allow the membership to function on a sustainable foundation,” the club said in a statement.
“We have kept price increases well below the current rate of inflation… Ticket prices at Old Trafford – along with match-day food and drink prices – will continue to be among the most affordable in the Premier League.”
The membership added they’ll maintain season ticket costs for under-16s and younger individuals frozen, in addition to the 50% low cost for season ticket holders aged 65 and over.
United, owned by the American Glazer household, are at present contemplating a sale, with confirmed bids from INEOS’ British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe in addition to Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, son of the previous prime minister of Qatar.
