Taking suo motu cognizance of an incident whereby a woman was allegedly attacked and misbehaved with and her saree was pulled in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has written to the Uttar Pradesh Police to right away intervene in the matter.

In the disturbing video which went viral on social media, the woman is seen working from males who first grabbed her after which yanked her saree through the block panchayat polls. She was making an attempt to enter a nomination middle when she was attacked by males from a rival celebration.

The males additionally snatched the candidate’s nomination papers to cease her from submitting them in time. According to the police, the boys have been making an attempt to make sure their candidate could be elected unopposed.

Clashes have been reported from greater than a dozen locations through the submitting of nominations on Saturday for the posts of 825 block pramukhs or native panchayat heads.
