New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Manik Saha on Wednesday (March 8, 2023) took oath as chief minister of Tripura for a second time period. Eight extra ministers, together with Ratan Lal Nath, Pranajit Singha Roy, Santana Chakma, Tinku Roy and Bikash Debbarma, have been additionally sworn in by Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have been among the many dignitaries who attended the oath-taking ceremony.

The BJP gained 32 seats within the 60-member House within the lately held Tripura Assembly elections, whereas its ally IPFT managed to safe one seat.
