Medjedovic overcomes De Alboran to make the last eight

Serbia’s Hamad Medjedovic battled by a tricky three-setter to overcome the United States’ Nicolas Moreno De Alboran 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 and enter the quarterfinals of the Bengaluru Open ATP Challenger 100, at the KSLTA courts, right here on Wednesday.

Medjedovic, 19, secured a important draw place solely as a result of Frenchman and former top-10 participant Lucas Pouille didn’t enter. But with two scientific wins, the Serb, who was handpicked by Novak Djokovic to practice at his middle, has capitalised effectively.

Against De Alboran, who completed runner-up in the Chennai Challenger last week, Medjedovic saved six of eight break-points and took three of the 4 on his opponent’s serve. With practically each different statistic comparable, this finally proved the distinction.
