Vizianagaram Hotels’ Association president G. Srinivasa Rao, and joint secretary G. Shivakumar on Tuesday urged the State authorities to ensure industry status for hotels and exemption from a number of new taxes.
They advised the media right here that the affiliation representatives had submitted a memorandum to Minister for Tourism R.Ok. Roja who was within the metropolis on Monday night.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao stated that the industry status would ensure financial institution loans at subsidised charges and incentives from the governemnt. Mr. Shivakumar stated that the taxes on sigh boards had turn out to be an enormous burden for the industry. Blue Earth hotels chairman Gudisa Srinivasa Rao stated that the Minister had responded positively over their requests and ideas. The affiliation secretary Naveen and treasurer Anil Kumar had been current.
