Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Thursday stated the northeastern State is wealthy in pure resources and has the infrastructure, which is conducive for setting up big industries.
Addressing a programme at Mizoram University at Tanhril on the outskirts of Aizawl, as a part of India’s G20 Presidency, the CM stated Mizoram has “vast and fertile land”, which might feed two to a few occasions the State’s inhabitants.
“We have vast land, raw materials, good climate, clean atmosphere and connectivity. We also have a compact society and strong NGOs, speak one language and follow almost one religion that creates an environment conducive for setting up industries,” Mr. Zoramthanga stated.
Mizoram has large potential for agriculture and horticulture, he stated, including that the State has all of the pre-requisite substances, which are “conducive for setting up industries and processing units”.
He urged the Centre and different collaborating overseas nations to spend money on varied sectors within the State.
Mr. Zoramthanga additionally stated Mizoram is wealthy in bamboo manufacturing and greater than 50% of the State’s geographical space is beneath bamboo cowl.
According to him, scientists have estimated that there may be about 25 million metric tonne of naturally grown bamboo within the state, which could possibly be successfully used for financial progress.
