MJ Akbar Defamation Case: Verdict Is Out; Delhi High Court Acquits Priya Ramani

New Delhi: Delhi High Court has finally released its verdict on the MJ Akabar vs. Priya Ramani defamation case. Ramani has been acquitted by the High Court today. The court stated ‘case of complainant is not proved’. It was one of the most awaited verdict, after pronouncing the verdict, the court informed thed parties that they can file an appeal in case of any grievance.

In October 2018, Akbar had filed the case against Ramani citing an article she had written for The Vogue earlier and a later a tweet alleging that the former editor of Asian Age newspaper had sexually harassed her during a job interview in 1994.
