Modi govt extends Rs 300 subsidy on LPG cylinders to Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries till March 2025 – India TV

The authorities has prolonged Rs 300 subsidy on LPG cylinders to PM Ujjwala Yojana customers till March 31, 2025, Union Minister Piyush Goyal knowledgeable on Thursday. The complete expenditure for this scheme can be Rs 12,000 crores.

Apart from this, the Cabinet has additionally accredited a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central authorities workers and Dearness Relief to pensioners by 4 per cent from January 1, 2024, the Union Minister stated.

The Union Cabinet has additionally accredited the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Raw Jute for 2024-25 season at Rs 5,335 per quintal, a rise of Rs 285 per quintal over the earlier season.

As of March 1, 2024, there are greater than 10.27 crore PMUY beneficiaries.

As of February 1, 2024, the efficient worth of home LPG for PMUY customers is Rs 603 per 14.2 kg LPG cylinder (Delhi).

The common LPG consumption of PMUY customers has elevated by 29 per cent from 3.01 refills in 2019-20 to 3.87 refills (till January 2024) pro-rated for 2023-24. All PMUY beneficiaries are eligible for this focused subsidy.
