Most Indian firms (81 %) in a survey acknowledged to have confronted data breach in the past one 12 months, with zero-day vulnerabilities and safety loopholes in internet utility being frequent causes throughout a number of organisations, cybersecurity agency Barracuda Networks on Friday mentioned.

This world survey was carried out by unbiased market researcher Vanson Bourne on behalf of Barracuda. It included responses from 100 utility safety choice makers in India liable for their organisation’s utility growth and safety.

“Eighty-one percent of organisations were successfully breached in the past 12 months as a direct result of an application vulnerability,” Barracuda Networks Country Manager (India) Murali Urs mentioned in a press release.

Respondents in India recognized their high utility safety challenges as software program provide chain assaults (59 %), safety slows utility growth time (48 %), unhealthy bots (45 %), securing APIs (44 %), and vulnerability detection (38 %).

“Fifty-two percent of respondents say web application vulnerability/ zero-day vulnerability contributed to a successful security breach that exploited vulnerabilities in the organisation’s applications in the past 12 months,” the assertion mentioned.

Barracuda claims to have included organisations with 500 or extra workers in the survey.

“Applications have been steadily rising as one of the top attack vectors across the India corporate vista in recent years, and the rapid shift to remote work in 2020 only intensified this,” Urs mentioned.
