I’ve little doubt about it. The males’s staff has been enjoying very well. My recommendation to them is to maintain the arrogance degree up. Each participant has come up the arduous approach to attain right here. It would maybe be the primary Olympics for about seven-eight gamers, and I really feel they shouldn’t simply be pleased with the ‘Olympian title (tag)’ however ought to goal for a medal. This is feasible solely when everyone within the staff believes that they could be a medal-winning staff and end on the rostrum,” Baskaran said in a podcast series launched by Hockey India.

The Rani Rampal-led staff had certified for the Tokyo Olympics by beating USA within the FIH Olympic Qualifiers.
“They (girls’s staff) should stay centered on ending within the top-4. When I used to be enjoying at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, girls’s hockey was included. Our staff had missed the bronze narrowly. After seeing the present Indian girls’s staff, I really feel they’ve developed lots of confidence after (Rio) 2016. I noticed them play stay in Bhubaneswar once they beat USA, among the finest groups on the earth. They rightfully earned the place within the Olympics,” said Baskaran.
“The team is on rise. I feel they are capable of doing well. They need to push themselves for the first-four position. I know Rani and team are capable of doing very well,” he mentioned.
