The analysis group from the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Second Institute used terahertz orbital angular momentum communication expertise, studies South China Morning Post.
Terahertz refers to a frequency vary between 100 GHz and 10 THz within the electromagnetic spectrum.
In the experiment, the group used a particular antenna to generate 4 completely different beam patterns at a frequency of 110 GHz.
With these patterns, they achieved real-time wi-fi transmission at a pace of 100 gigabits per second on a ten GHz bandwidth, considerably rising the effectivity of bandwidth utilization.
