Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA and former state minister Brijendra Singh Rathore died whereas present process therapy for COVID-19 at a personal hospital right here on Sunday (May 2), a celebration chief stated. He was 63.
Brijendra Singh Rathore was the occasion’s in-charge for the final month’s Damoh Assembly by-poll in MP, of which counting of votes was underway on Sunday (May 2).
Rathore, who represented Prithvipur Assembly seat in Tikamgarh district, died within the night following a cardiac arrest, State Congress normal secretary Rajiv Singh informed PTI.
The legislator had examined optimistic for the an infection and was air-lifted to Bhopal from Jhansi a couple of week again, he stated.
However, his situation began deteriorating from Sunday morning, Singh added.
Rathore is survived by his spouse and a son, household sources stated.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief over his demise.
In his condolence message, Chouhan stated that Rathore was a real public servant and was in favour of wholesome and clear politics. His demise is an irreparable loss to the state, he added.
State Congress chief Kamal Nath stated, “Rathore was a simple person and dedicated to the party. This is my personal loss.”
Rathore, a five-time MLA, had held a ministerial submit within the erstwhile Kamal Nath-led Congress authorities.
He is the second Congress MLA to have died as a consequence of a COVID-19 an infection inside a fortnight.
On April 24, Congress MLA from Jobat Assembly seat in Alirajpur district, Kalawati Bhuria, had succumbed to COVID-19 an infection at a hospital in Indore.
