Mukhtar Ansari, the gangster-turned-politician, to appear virtually in Punjab’s Mohali and UP’s Lucknow courts today

Lucknow: BSP chief and gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari shall be introduced at Punjab’s Mohali court docket and Lucknow court docket in Uttar Pradesh on Monday (April 12).

Ansari, who’s at current in Banda jail will appear in these courts virtually today. In Mohali court docket, a case of extortion shall be heard whereas in Lucknow, costs are to be determined in a 21-year-old case of assault with the jailor and deputy jailor.

UP Police on April 7 introduced Ansari, who’s the sitting Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA from Mau Vidhan Sabha seat to Banda jail. He had spent over two years in Punjab jail.

According to the Police, round 52 circumstances are registered towards Ansari in Uttar Pradesh and different states.

Earlier in February, the UP authorities accused the Punjab authorities in the Supreme Court, alleging that the latter (Punjab) was colluding with Ansari who is needed in UP in relation to varied felony circumstances.
