Mumbai building collapse: PM Modi condoles loss of lives, announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives within the building collapse incident in Mumbai on Thursday and introduced Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia every for the kin of deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. 

Around 11 folks, eight youngsters and three adults have been killed and 7 different injured after two flooring of a three-storey building collapsed on an adjoining single-storey home collapse incident in Mumbai’s Malwani space.

The Prime Minister’s Office on microblogging website Twitter, posted the PM’s condolence message: “Pained by the loss of lives due to the collapse of a structure in Malad West, Mumbai. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest.”

A sum of Rs 50,000 can be supplied to every of the injured, PM Modi mentioned.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra authorities introduced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh every to the kin of those that misplaced their lives and also will bear the medical bills of the injured.

As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the building, which is in harmful situation has been evacuated and rescue operations are underway.
