New Delhi: Actor and model Muzammil Ibrahim made a shocking revelation about dating Deepika Padukone. The actress moved to Mumbai in the early 2000s and began her career as a model before transitioning into acting. During the same era, Muzammil was also establishing himself in the modeling industry.

In a candid interview, he opened up about his relationship with the Kalki actor during the early days of their careers. Muzammil also took to Instagram and wrote, ‘Spoke my heart out and shared my most personal things for the first time in my life.’

In an candid interview with popular host Siddharth Kannan, Actor Muzammil was asked, ‘You and Deepika Padukone were in a relationship at that time?’ to which he responded, ‘I don’t think we should talk about this because she’s married now. But yes, what we had was special. We were very good friends and I respected her a lot she’s a very nice girl.’ 

How Muzammil Ibrahim Met Deepika Padukone 

Talking about how he met Deepika Padukone back then in their modeling days, Muzammil shared, “It wasn’t during the time people think. It was when we had just started modeling. I was doing the Tommy Hilfiger show he had stopped me and that’s when I met Deepika. We did that show together.

He further added, ”She had seen me in Blackrider and Pardesiya, and liked me a lot. That’s how we met. After that, I never felt the same again. I truly felt, ‘I love only you,’ like those romantic lucky video moments. Shortly after we met, I went to Scotland and she went to London for a shoot. Things were taking off for both of us at good levels.’

Muzammil was the first guy that Deepika Padukone met in Mumbai. Talking about her personality in those years, He said, ‘She was very confident because she is Prakash Padukone’s daughter so everyone knew about her.’ 

Who Proposed? And Who Broke Up?

In a shocking revelation about his personal life, Muzammil Ibrahim shared “Deepika proposed to me, and I left.”

When asked if he regrets that decision of breaking up, he said, “No, I never regret leaving. I’m a tough guy. I was a star at that time she wasn’t. She was still a model. I had already become an actor.

Later, she became a superstar. Today, nobody knows me, but everyone knows her. I’m a big fan—I love watching her movies. She’s a beautiful woman and is doing so well. But the fact is what it is.” the special ops actor concluded. 

Muzammil Ibrahim Recalls Dating Deepika Padukone 

In the candid inteview The dhoka actor recalls his memories from those days when the actor-model dated Deepika Muzammil shared, ‘We were kids then. We would go on dates in a rickshaw in the rains. That was very cute. I had more money than her because I had started earning better. Then I bought a car and she was very happy about that. These things are very memorable because I have not been on a date in a rickshaw since then, and we were so happy even though we had no money.’ 

‘Even with no money, the DJ would play the song that she liked because I was friends with the DJ. For an hour and a half, he just played that song because it was her birthday. ‘ He further added. 

When asked if they are still in touch, Muzammil shared that they became friends few years after breakup and would congratulate each other on their achievements. Sharing about current dynamics with Deepika He said, ‘Not after her marriage. We were in touch before her marriage. We had a conversation before she got married, but not after that. She has always been very sweet.’

However, they lost touch after Deepika Padukone got married to Ranveer Singh in 2019.
