The Nagaland authorities on Friday launched a bill in the meeting searching for to regulate and function fire and life safety measures in the northeastern state.
Introducing the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services Bill, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio mentioned there’s absence of laws to monitor life and fire safety measures in high-rise buildings in the state.
Nagaland which has seen large development in infrastructural improvement in city areas has seen main fire incidents and different hazards in which lack of human lives and properties have been reported, he mentioned.
In order to minimise these incidents and hazards and save the residents of the state, some laws are required, he mentioned whereas talking on the bill.
The chief minister additionally launched the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Sixth Amendment) Bill to make the regulation in sync with the central laws.
The meeting Speaker Sharingain Longkumer mentioned consideration and passing of the payments could be taken up on March 27.
