Close to 200 riders will compete in National Equestrian Championship Eventing on the Army Polo and Riding Centre in New Delhi, beginning March 21, the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) introduced on Thursday.
The first three-day competitors will start on March 21 and the second and remaining will start on March 28.
The Eventing competitors, often known as Horse Trial, includes three disciplines Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping.
In three-day occasions, Show Jumping competitors unfolds on day three.
“We will have around 36 teams and close to 200 riders competing over three days. Competition will be in Pre-Novice, Novice and CCN categories. We have an excellent jury, headed by Col. (retired) Dushyant Bali. I am sure we will see some interesting and exciting action in the championships,” Col Jaiveer Singh, Secretary General EFI, mentioned.
In Show Jumping, the horse jumps over colored poles with a most time allowed and the target is to leap a transparent spherical contained in the time restrict. On the final day it turns into difficult as a result of the horses get drained and that results in extra errors.
In Cross nation, horses and riders negotiate a course of pure obstacles over a number of miles. The obstacles need to be jumped inside a time restrict. The horse needs to be daring, straight and quick for a cross nation.
