National Geographic in India, with a mission to ignite hope and change among the many planet-aware viewers, is bringing in Planet Possible to have a good time Earth Day 2021. Bringing actor and environmental fanatic – Gul Panag on board; Planet Possible seeks to inform, encourage and empower viewers by bringing them stories of ingenuity, grit, hope, and optimism. The celebrations will function ‘Tiger Queen of Taru’ & ‘On the Brink’ that can premiere on April 22, 2021 at 12 pm & 1 pm on National Geographic India and Nat Geo Wild and may also be out there on Disney+ Hotstar.
Encouraging viewers to bring a few change – both through the largest or smallest of actions, Planet Possible goals to encourage folks of all ages to step outdoors their realities, ask questions, look nearer, and forge a deeper understanding of the world and its place in it. As an element of the initiative, the movies – ‘Tiger Queen of Taru’ & ‘On the Brink’ will discover the life of wild animals residing within the twenty first century in India and share intriguing insights alongside with providing a contemporary new perspective and nuances.
Directed by Indian documentary filmmaker – Aishwarya Sridhar for over six years, the movie ‘Tiger Queen of Taru’ traces the exceptional life of Maya, a wild Bengal tiger residing within the Tadoba Andhari tiger reserve, Maharashtra’s oldest and largest National park. ‘On the Brink’ collection journeys through the sub-continent, immersing audiences in probably the most unimaginable landscapes and habitats within the nation and bringing them eye to eye with the not often noticed animals which might be residing on the sting of extinction. From vanishing Gharial crocodiles in Chambal River to Indian Pangolin in Papikonda National Park, Andhra Pradesh, the two-half collection will uncover the hidden and harsh actuality, secrets and techniques and details concerning the endangered species and assist uncover the important thing for his or her survival.
