On February 15, the federal anti-narcotics company had arrested three of Sadiq’s aides — Mukesh (34) Mujibur Rahman (26) and Ashok Kumar (33) — and seized 50 kg of narcotics-making chemical pseudoephedrine in a search at a Delhi godown.
The NCB since then had been in search of Sadiq and raided properties linked to him in Tamil Nadu.
According to sources, the trio arrested final month had revealed throughout interrogation that Sadiq near Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu Sports Minister and the son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, in addition to different DMK leaders, together with Rajya Sabha MP MM Abdullah and Chennai West district secretary of the occasion N Chitrarasu.
“They also revealed that Sadiq had sent 45 consignments in the past three years containing approximately 3,500 kg of pseudoephedrine, valued at over Rs 2,000 crore,” an official mentioned.
