NIA launches massive raids across 4 states in sweeping anti-terror operation

In a big transfer towards terror networks, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) initiated in depth raids on Monday, focusing on a number of areas in Delhi and three further states—Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra. The anti-terror company’s operations are presently in progress at varied websites across these 4 states.

The NIA, in collaboration with the Maharashtra Police and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), executed these raids at 44 areas located in Padgha-Borivali, Thane, Mira Road, and Pune in Maharashtra, together with Bengaluru in Karnataka, throughout the early hours of the morning. The coordinated efforts goal to dismantle and neutralise potential threats posed by these terror networks across the focused areas.

Continuing its intensified efforts, the investigative company carried out raids at a number of areas in Karnataka and Maharashtra, specializing in the ISIS terror conspiracy case. This current crackdown resulted in the arrest of 13 people from Pune, Maharashtra, related to the mentioned case.

The NIA’s operations are a part of a broader investigation right into a terror plot influenced by extremist teams resembling Al-Qaeda and ISIS. The terrorist organisations have allegedly recruited like-minded people, conducting non secular courses with the intent of inciting violent jihad to determine Islamic rule in India. These raids and arrests underscore the continuing efforts to dismantle networks concerned in planning and executing terror actions impressed by radical ideologies.
