CANCUN, Mexico: Bella Murekatete had 17 factors and 4 blocks, Charlisse Leger-Walker secured her first profession triple-double and No. 23 Washington State beat Maryland 87-67 on Thursday within the opening sport of the Cancun Challenge.
Washington State (6-0) faces UMass on Friday. Maryland (2-3) performs Green Bay.
Leger-Walker completed with 11 factors, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. She turned the second participant in program historical past to succeed in the feat, becoming a member of Penny Bowden’s efficiency on March 3, 1988.
Murekatete set a program file by reaching 159 profession blocks, passing Carly Noyes.
