The COVID-19 National Task Force of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday issued revised scientific tips for the administration of adult COVID-19 sufferers.

As per the brand new tips, convalescent plasma therapy and medicines, together with lopinavir-ritonavir, molnupiravir, favipiravir, azithromycin and doxycycline, should not to be used for remedy.

“Antibiotics should not be used unless there is clinical suspicion of bacterial infection. The possibility of co-infection of COVID-19 with other endemic infections must be considered. Systemic corticosteroids are not indicated in mild disease,” the revised tips mentioned.

Physical distancing, indoor masks use, hand hygiene, symptomatic administration (hydration, anti-pyretics, antitussive), monitoring temperature and oxygen saturation (with pulse oximeters) is significant, the duty pressure says, whereas including that it’s important to keep in touch with treating doctor.

Patients are suggested to search speedy medical consideration if there’s problem respiration, high-grade fever/ extreme cough, significantly if lasting for greater than 5 days.
