No marks of forcible entry seen on SUV found near Ambani’s home: police

There have been no marks indicating a forcible opening of doorways of the Scorpio which was found with explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s home final month, a senior police official mentioned in Mumbai on Friday. This led the investigators of the Mumbai Crime Branch to suspect that it could have been opened with a replica key when it was stolen, he mentioned.

The case has been now taken over by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Mansukh Hiran, in whose possession the SUV was, had claimed that it was stolen from Vikhroli space every week earlier than it was found outdoors Ambani’s home. Hiran was found useless in mysterious circumstances on March 5.

“We did not find any marks suggesting that the doors were opened using force,” mentioned the official who was half of the crime department probe crew. But the forensic lab report of the car was awaited, he added.
