New Delhi: Congress chief Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday attacked the BJP over the alleged harassment of nuns belonging to a Kerala-based congregation in Uttar Pradesh and termed Union Home Minister Amit Shah‘s assurance of action within the incident as “hollow statements”.

Two nuns and two postulants have been taken off an categorical prepare and detained for questioning by railway police in Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh on March 19. According to officers in Jhansi, the nuns have been detained after native Bajrang Dal activists complained that two girls have been allegedly being taken forcibly for spiritual conversion.
