ODI WC Qualifier: Zimbabwe register second biggest win ever in ODIs, remain unscathed heading into Super Six

Cricket WC Qualifier: Bossing the Group stage in Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, Zimbabwe registered the second biggest win ever in ODIs in phrases of runs. Sean Williams’ facet thrashed USA in their last Group A match by 304 runs to remain unscathed in the event earlier than the Super Six stage rolls out. For his thunderous ton in the primary innings, Captain Williams was awarded the Player of the Match award.

The day belonged to Zimbabwe because the Chevrons first posted their biggest ODI complete and have become the seventh nation in the World to hit over 400 in an ODI match. After posting the large complete on the board in the primary innings, the hosts didn’t put their foot off the fuel. They held the USA by the scruff of the neck and didn’t let anybody break the shackles. USA have been looming on the biggest ODI defeat as soon as they have been six down for 45 after which 7 for 61. But some late contributions from Abhishek Paradkar and Jasdeep Singh bailed them out of that embarrassing document.

With this win, Zimbabwe and USA have completed their group video games in the Qualifier. While Zimbabwe have received all 4 matches, USA haven’t received a single match in the event. Zimbabwe, West Indies and Netherlands have certified for the Super Six stage of the event.
