New Delhi: Miss Thailand Opal Suchata Chuangsri has claimed the 72nd Miss World title at the grand finale held at Hyderabad’s HITEX Exhibition Centre on Saturday night.
Krystyna Pyszková, Miss World 2024 from the Czech Republic, crowned her successor, Opal, passing on the prestigious title and continuing the legacy of grace.
The Thai contestant emerged victorious among 107 beauty queens from around the world. Meanwhile, Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje was named first runner-up, and Maja Klajda from Poland won the second runner-up title. Martinique’s Aurélie Joachim made it to the top four.
A Gown with Meaning
For the star-studded night, Opal wore a gown symbolizing healing and strength — a delicate white ensemble adorned with opal-like florals.
“The shimmering white fabric and delicate opal-like florals reflect women who choose hope over fear,” Opal shared on Instagram.
“The soft flare mirrors the ripple effect of compassion — how one heart can awaken many. Swarovski crystals sparkle like the inner light that guides us through darkness.”
This symbolic gown was not just an outfit — it was a celebration of every woman who dares to dream, even in the face of adversity.
“Just like the opal, I shine in my own light,” Opal added, calling the dress a tribute to the powerful journey of her campaign, “Opal For HER.”
