The CBI has performed searches at 76 places throughout the nation below (*76*) Chakra-2 after registering 5 separate circumstances of cyber-enabled monetary frauds, officers mentioned on Thursday.
One of the circumstances pertains to a racket siphoning off Rs 100 crore of Indian residents via a cryptocurrency fraud, they mentioned.
The case was registered on the premise of inputs supplied by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), the officers mentioned.

The searches had been performed at places in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Delhi and West Bengal, the officers mentioned.
