Opposition targets AAP in Punjab over Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha

With the Enforcement Directorate (ED) mentioning Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha in its second supplementary chargesheet in the Delhi liquor coverage, the Opposition events in Punjab on Tuesday sharpened their assault over the AAP.

The ED, in its newest chargesheet in the Delhi excise coverage case, included a witness assertion in which it was talked about that Mr. Chadha was purportedly current in a gathering on the residence of the principle accused and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

However, Mr. Chadha asserted that he had not been talked about in any of the ED chargesheets as both an accused, suspect or perhaps a witness.

Punjab’s Leader of the Opposition, Partap Singh Bajwa stated that the AAP had turn into a synonym for controversy, and it was one other day when a frontrunner of the AAP was in the information for the mistaken causes.

Mr. Bajwa urged the Enforcement Directorate to proceed its inquiry into Punjab’s liquor coverage case to deliver it to a logical finish. “The ED must take serious note of the same and conduct a thorough probe on Punjab’s liquor policy for 2022-23,” he stated.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur alleged that the AAP authorities in Punjab was adopting the “corrupt model” of the AAP authorities in Delhi.

“The AAP betrayed the people of Delhi by indulging in the liquor scam. They hurt the exchequer of Delhi & looted hundreds of crores of rupees by colluding with liquor mafias,“ he said.

“The main accused who planned the loot is in jail today. But the kingpin and his accomplices are still out. Investigating agencies will investigate and take strict action against all,” he said in Jalandhar.

BJP nationwide common secretary Tarun Chugh stated that with each passing day, AAP leaders in Punjab have been being uncovered to requires strict motion in opposition to them.
