‘Opposition Unity’ Gathers Pace As Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Meet Mamata Banerjee In Kolkata | India News


Kolkata: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday as a part of efforts to unite the opposition events to tackle BJP within the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. After touchdown on the airport, Kumar and Yadav went straight to the state secretariat ‘Nabanna’ the place the duo held a  assembly with Banerjee. The three leaders are holding a closed-door assembly to strategize on combating the BJP within the 2024 Lok Sabha election, officers stated.

Banerjee held related conferences with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and former Karnataka chief minister and Janata Dal (Secular) chief H.D. Kumaraswamy final month. In a bid to unite the opposition events forward of the Lok Sabha polls, Kumar met Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and its president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi earlier this month.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar goes to satisfy his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav immediately. Sources have stated that Nitish Kumar will go to Kolkata by particular flight within the afternoon and meet Banerjee. He will focus on the factors on which opposition events are uniting towards the BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Last month, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav met her in Kalighat. In the assembly, the 2 leaders agreed to keep up a distance with Congress and somewhat give attention to the unity of the regional forces towards BJP within the 2024 polls.
