Partial relaxation allowed in Jammu and Kashmir. What’s open, what’s closed

The Jammu and Kashmir authorities on Sunday allowed partial relaxation in some public actions. Meanwhile, the lockdown has been prolonged until June 15 in view of the coronavirus state of affairs. The recent pointers have been issued beneath part 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. 

KEY POINTS

  • All universities, schools, and technical/ability growth establishments in J&Ok shall stay closed for imparting on-campus/in-person schooling to the scholars until June 15.
  • All colleges and teaching centres will stay closed until June 15.
  • All cinemas, multiplexes, golf equipment, gyms,spas, therapeutic massage centres and paid parks shall proceed to stay closed.
  • Barber retailers, and saloons/parlours shall stay open on three days in every week besides Saturdays and Sundays.
  • All non secular locations will stay open, topic to the SOPs already in place.
  • Night curfew will likely be imposed from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. whereas weekend curfew will likely be imposed from 8 p.m. every Friday until 7 a.m. on Monday.
  • Restaurants and motels will stay open just for in-house company and residence supply.
  • In the 5 districts categorised as ‘Red’, public transport will stay closed.
