Domestic passenger vehicle wholesales surged by 14 per cent year-on-year to 3,93,074 units final month, marking the all time efficiency for January in accordance to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

Vinod Aggarwal, President of SIAM, attributed the resilient efficiency of passenger vehicle gross sales to optimistic client sentiments, whereas highlighting the sturdy development in the two-wheeler phase, significantly pushed by the restoration in rural markets.
“Passenger vehicle sales have remained resilient led by positive consumer sentiments, while the two-wheeler segment witnessed good growth in January as well as the rural market continues to recover,” he stated.

Meanwhile, three-wheeler wholesales noticed a 9 per cent development, reaching 53,537 units as in contrast to 48,903 units in January 2023.
