The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) introduced a revised central contracts list after a radical evaluation on Friday, October 20. Five new gamers had been added to the earlier 25-member list and the former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been promoted to Category B from D in an enormous improvement in Pakistan cricket.
Fans had been shocked when Sarfaraz was named in class D within the earlier central contract list launched by the Najam Sethi-led administration committee. The veteran wicketkeeper batter has been in wonderful type in red-ball cricket as he leads Karachi Region Whites to the ultimate of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2023, Pakistan’s premier First-Class match, this season.
Sarfaraz has been promoted to class B together with star cricketers Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman and 4 extra. Captain Babar Azam, star pacer Shaheen Afridi and the first-choice wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan are the one three gamers named in class B.
The newly appointed PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf took a evaluation of the earlier list submitted by the committee after a gathering with captain Babar Azam, chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and staff director Mickey Arthur.
Five gamers added to the revised list are Abrar Ahmed, Noman Ali, Aamir Jamal, Arshad Iqbal and Tayyab Tahir. Abrar Ahmed and Noman Ali are drafted in Category C whereas Aamir Jamal, Arshad Iqbal and Tayyab Tahir discover a spot in Category D within the new contracts list.
