Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted to induce voters for exercising their franchise in “record numbers”.
The elections are being held following Covid-19 pointers in all 9 seats in Purulia, 4 in Bankura, 4 in Jhargram and 6 in Paschim Medinipur, in addition to the seven seats in high-stakes Purba Medinipur.
