New Delhi: Lauding former England skipper Kevin Pietersen after he praised “beloved” country India for providing COVID-19 vaccines to South Africa, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he is glad to see the former’s affection towards New Delhi.
“Glad to see your affection towards India. 🙂 We believe that the world is our family and want to play our role in strengthening the fight against COVID-19,” Prime Minister wrote on Twitter and tagged Pietersen’s earlier tweet.
The former England cricketer had earlier showered praise on India’s “generosity and kindness” while reacting to the announcement made by External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar.

The External Affairs Minister had earlier on Monday informed that ‘Made in India’ vaccines have arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa.
