PM Modi should break his silence on Pulwama attack that killed 40 soldiers: Congress reiterates

Amid an issue that erupted following former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik’s “explosive interview”, Congress has once more requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi in regards to the severe allegations levelled by Malik over the 2019 Pulwama attack that killed 40 jawans.

Congress chief Shaktisinh Gohil has mentioned Prime Minister should break his silence and solutions the problems raised by former Army chief General (retd) Shankar Roychowdhury over the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.

“Gen (retd) Shankar Roychowdhury said the biggest responsibility for the martyrdom of soldiers in Pulwama rests with the government. The National Security Advisor, who advises the prime minister, is also guilty of lapses in security,” Gohil, a Rajya Sabha MP, mentioned on Saturday.

The similar was echoed by Malik earlier this month.

PM should break his silence: Congress 

He mentioned the prime minister’s “silence” regardless of the reported allegations of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor over the Pulwama attack and the questions raised by Gen (retd) Roy Chowdhury raises many questions.

“In the national interest, a white paper should be issued on the Pulwama attack, with the government explaining how the attack took place, where the negligence was, what was the failure of intelligence, why jawans were refused aircraft, what security lapses occurred and what was the role of CRPF, NHA, NSA and PMO,” Gohil added.

Pulwama Attack

According to the then Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, almost 2,500 troopers had been returning in no less than 70 automobiles by way of Pulwama in an effort to rejoin their duties.However, the convoy was focused by a car pushed by a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist recognized as Aadil Ahmad Dar– a neighborhood resident of Pulwama.
